Trinity
is a child-directed pre-school. Each day children select activities
from a variety of opportunities:
- Arts and Crafts – fine motor skills
include cutting, working with play dough, finger painting,
easel painting and individual and group creative projects
- Playhouse – dress-up clothes,
dolls, house keeping equipment and dramatic play
- Block Building – trucks, trains,
people and animals add to the block building opportunities
- Science and Nature Activities –
simple science projects and exploration of their world include
graphing, estimating and hands-on activities
- Manipulative Toys – games, puzzles,
Lego’s and other intriguing and challenging toys
- Outdoor Play – wheel toys, sand
box, water play, climbing equipment, slides, tools
and woodworking, as well as dramatic play and socialization
- Cooking and Food Experiences –
individual group food preparation for daily snacks
- Self-Concept Books – each child
has his/her own special book in which to record his/her
ideas in language and drawing
- Snack Time – children serve and
enjoy food they have prepared; including prayer, conversation
and sharing with friends
- Clean-up Time – after enjoying
a wide variety of activities, children learn about responsibility
by cleaning up their school
- Circle Time – children are divided
into smaller groups for singing, sharing, games, rhythmic
activities and story telling
