Sonia has been teaching at Trinity since 1993. She began her journey with Trinity as a co-op parent in 1991. “After watching what a positive and important influence pre-school teachers can make on a young child’s early academic experience I went back to school for my Early Childhood Education credentials. My greatest satisfaction and joy comes from the child who experiences success and self-esteem from an "I can do it" moment.” Sonia is currently teaching in the Twos / Threes and Pre-K programs.

For many two year-olds, preschool is the first group experience away from home. Our nurturing environment and 1:2 adult-to-child ratio ensures the needs of each child are met during this important time. The Twos Program is the beginning of the bond between parents, children and teacher. This collaborative relationship encourages the children to feel safe and creates an environment that fosters the beginning of their independence. Children learn how to share an environment with others, simple school routines and how to get along with their peers.
The Twos curriculum is designed to help each child develop:
• Coping Skills
• Self-Help Skills
• Self Confidence
• Language Skills
• Hand Strength
• Balance and Coordination
